If you're itching to try out the new Symbian operating system then this theme will give you a feel for its overall design.
The Symbian^3 Theme takes some of the key design features of the long-awaited mobile OS and stamps them onto your Series 60 (3rd or 5th edition) phone. The color scheme is an attractive original dark blue, purple, white and yellow affair and the background wallpaper matches nicely with the overall interface design.
Some of the menu icons in the Symbian^3 Theme are gorgeous, and I'm hoping these are the actual ones that end up in the finished version of the operating system. Unfortunately, not all of the icons are given this polished treatment and many of the Settings and Applications icons remain as the boring old S60 versions.
Of course, the Symbian^3 Theme doesn't add any of the functionality of the new platform, but it provides a neat glimpse into what we might expect from its interface.
